A useful starting point
Choose a gutter finish and layout together
Identify the details you want to keep
Before replacing gutters, tell Chris which visible details matter to you: color, the direction of a downspout, or the look of a particular roof edge. Bring those preferences to the estimate so they can be considered alongside the drainage needs of your home.
Check requirements before agreeing to work
If your property is subject to association rules or other exterior-change requirements, confirm what applies to your address before work is scheduled. Do not assume a rule applies to every home in an area. Share any requirements that affect material, color, or placement.
Review the proposed arrangement
Ask where the new gutters and downspouts will go and whether any existing sections can remain. Discuss visible changes before accepting the estimate. The aim is to understand both how the proposed system works and how it will look on your particular home.
Will a replacement section exactly match the existing color?
An exact match is not always possible because coatings weather and available finishes can differ. Ask to review the proposed finish beside the existing gutter and discuss whether the transition will be visible from the street.
