A useful starting point
Decide whether a focused repair is enough
Explain the one place that concerns you
A leaking corner, a loose section, or a separated connection can be a useful starting point for a repair estimate. Tell Chris what you see and whether it has changed. You do not need to measure the roofline or climb a ladder to request help.
Consider the adjoining sections
Even when the visible problem is small, ask about the condition of the surrounding gutter and its support. A localized repair may be appropriate, but the estimate should explain what it resolves and whether another issue needs attention.
Understand what happens next
Ask which parts will be repaired or replaced, what appearance differences to expect, and whether cleaning is also needed. If a broader replacement is recommended, ask why. That conversation helps you weigh a smaller intervention against the condition of the whole system.
Why might another sealant patch fail?
If a joint moves, the surrounding material is deteriorated or water is backing up, covering the visible gap may not address the cause. Ask what the repair changes beyond adding sealant and whether the adjacent components remain serviceable.
